Review on ๐Ÿชž Fog-Free Suction Shower Mirror with Razor Holder: iDesign Forma - Clear & Strong Power Lock for Bathroom or Shower by Robin Henderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great shower mirror

People who give this mirror a bad rating need to understand some terms and physics. "Fog-freeโ€ does not exist. If the temperature of the mirror is below the dew point of the shower, water will condense on it. This often happens when you have cold air and hot water and is very easy to do as showers are usually 100% wet. How do you get rid of fog? Two options: First, give it some water to warm it up a bit by raising its temperature above the dew point. Or apply some baby shampoo to the surface. Just like saliva, or if you're too polite to spit, Jaws Quick Spit Fog Spray, 1 ounce is an old scuba trick. "Fogless" is a marketing term for "plastic". And while "plastic" sounds cheap, "no fog" sounds like you're getting something good. What plastic doesn't do over glass is that it heats up quickly and is (hopefully) above the dew point so water can't condense on it. You don't need a glass shower mirror. Distortion - yes you will see a little distortion because it costs money to polish the plastic to a perfectly smooth surface without distortion so you have to double the cost of the mirror and no one will buy it. The suction cups are surprisingly effective. But on a dirty, rough tile surface, some air will leak through the seal. The solution is to reattach the mirror to the wall once a week to keep it from falling. I think this mirror is great, cheap and does what I want. If you want the best quality you need to spend over $100. I would rather spend my money on something else and get on with my life. This mirror is great.
