Unreal! Outstanding!: Brake Tools

The quality of this product as well as the quality of the highlights this thing makes is just unreal. I've used most Flare tools in the low to mid range with the "clamp thing" that uses wing nuts, they all left lines and pinch marks on the line and even some of the ends didn't look concentric. I've even seen the brake line slip in the clamps, especially when using stainless steel tubing. This tool has a nice long clamping area that doesn't need 'teeth' to prevent the line from slipping even when using stainless steel and leaves almost no mark on the tube and the flash came out absolutely perfect. The stop bolt included with the kit takes the guesswork out of "measuring how much line you want to stick out". Another thing I noticed is that the material on this thing appears to be some sort of forged steel, there's no crappy casting. brands and seems quite heavy for its small size. It also comes with some nice 12.9 bolts for clamping and you don't have to worry about twisting threads or steel blocks. Recommend using some of the included lube as you will need to flip it over and maybe a small washer to extend its life. The forming tip also seems to be good quality hardened steel as it is very smooth and the threads didn't gnaw after a single use like I've seen others do. This thing is also very ergonomic because it works. Fits perfectly with the handle and makes it easy to attach the leash to the car or when you don't have access to a vise. This is the best tool for making brakes every now and then so you don't have to spend $2-$300 on a professional tool to get great results.
