Review on πŸš— Enhance Toyota's Performance with GooDeal Coolant Temperature Sensor Connector Repair Pigtail 158-0421 PMPS by Richard Alemayehu

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Connect the switch correctly.

The cold start switch on the 94 22pe engine is located under the throttle and to the left of the two sensors. This is "timed" and the wire will need to be replaced in order for the wire to function properly. STA to ground reads between 30-90 ohms depending on engine temperature. STJ to ground shows about 3 ohms (this isn't listed anywhere I could find). If you don't have an ohmmeter, google your ECM (electronic control module) schematic to find the colors back to the switch, and google the switch as well. If the alternator belt is pulling on the switch wires like mine, it's good to know how to find them out. This connector has two black wires, which might give the impression that the order doesn't matter. It is important.
