Review on 🐟 Lee's Premium Undergravel Filter, 20L/29, 12x30 Inches by Heather Brown

I ordered this Lee 20L/29L Premium Bottom Bottom Filter (12" x 30") for my 29 gallon show aquarium to avoid the high quality, flat, blue, The grid-like one I had fell apart after about 10 years of continuous use. I hope this UG filter's "Premium" status means it will last longer than its predecessor. So far it's been 8 months with no problems PROS of this filter: -Made in the USA** (Thanks Lee's!) -UG filter comes with tubing (2), elbows (2), carbon - cut tubing lengths (2), Airstones Discard - a-Stone (2) and black plastic caps for tube holes coming out of the UG filter ((3) - see CONS below). However, unlike in the picture, there are no connecting rings here, as the tubes are inserted directly into the holes of the UG filter. The price of this premium filter at Revain is cheaper than any pet supply store I could find as long as you do the bare minimum for free shipping. CONS (good to know but not critical): The UG filter only came with 3 caps; The UG filter I received had 4 holes (instead of 3 as in the picture). This isn't a problem unless you want to cover all 4 holes to use a bubble tube or alternative ventilation system instead. The UG filter I received was black, not blue (just an issue for those who have blue gravel they want to use). mixed with the color of the UG filter). - The tubes weren't cut to the right length (C'mon Lee. We can do better. We have rulers in America). However, over time they caught up. The included charcoal cartridges are HUGE. Not sure yet if the knees they come with will hold regular sized cartridges if I need to replace them. ***A NOTICE. You must carefully inspect your order upon receipt. The first filter I received was cracked even though it was very well packed in the shipping box. It looked like the tubes weren't sitting properly in the Lee box, and were sticking out of the box and bottom filter so that it was at the thinnest point of the plastic (one of the "valleys" when looking at the HS filter from broke the end). Revain customer service was really good and sent a replacement after I returned the first one which was a bit time consuming but not really an issue here. were made in China. Also good to know: Elbows also work with normal-sized carbon cartridges. (02/07/14)
