While you have worked on the training until you get the doorbell it will be very easy to use. We use the "touch" command where the girls would randomly touch my fist all day for the first few days and then we would go to the back door. I let her sit down and touch my fist before going outside. If they were successful, they got practice bites, and then we continued with the praise. When the doorbell came, for the first few days we tried to separate it from the back door, praised it and then let it out. Over the next few days we've been rolling out ringtones and tomorrow morning I should be able to set up the doorbell for normal use. I look forward to it as my dog mom is great at letting me know when she and the pup need to go outside, but the pup never figured out that she had to ask for it herself. She had a potty plan, as opposed to begging. Now she can wonder. Hooray!
