Packaging - non-irritating so will be shipped in a standard thick envelope. The disk just bounces around inside, but it's a fixed state so it should be fine. The only worries are the mechanical parts, like the retractable USB connector and the plastic case that houses it. The price is a good price of 50 cents/GB. The capacity is good at 64GB. s (sometimes even 15 MB/s is reached!), which is quite decent. I just resynced my Linux files and 7.5MB/s isn't too bad. I have 50GB of data in . The files were a mix of <100KB to over 100MB. Haven't tested the video files yet, the average size is 1.5GB. So it's not the fastest drive. Read speeds are much faster, averaging around 15MB/s, as expected. It's also a USB 2.0 drive. With a USB 3.0 drive, the speed should be much faster. Luckily, the included software is a blank disk with nothing on it. Other thoughts - I bought the Transcend 64GB over the Patriot Rage 64GB because it's twice the price but also offers twice the write speed. However, I'm not too concerned about that as it's very good for the price. Also based on the specification of storage (2^10 versus 10^3, i.e. 1024 bytes making up GB in engineering notation versus 1000 making up gigabytes in SI notation), the formatted drive is 61 GB. Rest assured it is the same as advertised. Drive companies use powers of 10 while computers use powers of 2, causing this confusion. To avoid this, everyone should just report it in standard engineering notation kibi, mibi, gibi, etc. Technically, this is a 61GB drive.
