I made five tension cords out of this to hold curtains in place once they're open. Incredibly easy to make - cut a piece of string, melt the ends with a gas grill lighter, then slip a ring over the cut end and insert the string into the hook. Press the ring firmly against the hook (I used pliers between the hook and ring to get a tight connection) and voila - a custom made bungee with the right hook size and length for my needs.
