Review on πŸ“· Sony VCTSGR1 Camera Grip for Vlogging - Black: Enhance your video content creation! by Jimmie Gebrehiwot

Helpful but very expensive. People with dexterity problems should be approached with caution.

This grip provides a convenient way to hold and partially control all but the original RX100 cameras. However, I find this may not work if you have hand and finger dexterity issues. You connect the grip's microUSB cable to the camera's multi-port. There's no power dial on the grip, so you still have to turn on the power with the button on top of the camera. This requires an additional, time-consuming step. In my opinion, the handgrip should have an ON/OFF control for the camera. Due to the arthritis in my fingers, this leads to some juggling. There is a zoom lens control which is very handy. It's easily accessible to the thumb and runs smoothly - for a person without the dexterity issues mentioned above. After a few tries I found that the controls were quite difficult to use due to my limited dexterity. The photo and video buttons are within easy thumb reach, assuming there are no dexterity issues. The camera can be set to selfie or normal mode. Full fledged vloggers and selfie lovers will love how easy this shot makes their lives. The RX 100's fold-down screen becomes special when you use this grip. But I wish the legs were a little longer. Incidentally, the grip head tilts back and forth. The legs of the grip spread to form a small tripod, which can be used as long as the camera is not tilted too far forward or backward. My only complaint is that I think the clutch is overpriced. In my opinion it should sell for half its list price or less. I do not blame Sony for the difficulties I encountered: they are not responsible for my disability and I really want the product to be more comfortable for me to use. Jerry
