A must for the rx100

This grip is perfect for the rx100. I love everything about this grip. The people complaining after buying this grip are the same people who are returning things to Walmart 3 days later for cash because they are broke and wanted to make an impulse purchase and then needed a refund so ignore the negative reviews .

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Expensive

Could be much better!

I like the triggers and focal length rocker switch, but for such a high price for a basic plastic grip I expected a lot more. It would be very easy for Sony to add extra batteries or even an extra battery to this grip to make it REALLY useful, especially given the obscenely high price tag!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some cons

lasted almost two years

The small piece of plastic used to tighten the mounting screw fell apart making it very difficult to mount the camera on it. There's about a third left, but if it falls out, the thing is completely useless. Number 2 in this photo is where this item is located. Otherwise I would give it a 3 as it is easier to operate the camera with one hand.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

nice little grip for small camera

got this for my sony RX100 it works great and even the little tripod it turns into is sturdy and works well. It's a lot smaller than I thought I didn't check the size. I have big hands and he looks very small in them, like I'm holding him with three of my five fingers. Otherwise I think it will be good and would be very useful for the video.

Pros
  • finally bought
Cons
  • weak

An angle plug would be ideal.

The grip feels comfortable and contributes to ergonomics, and the camera itself is not touched. Even when assembled, the device is still small enough to fit in small bags and jacket pockets. However, I do find that the cable could benefit from the right-angle connector on the end of the camera, otherwise I wouldn't have to worry about the cable coming loose when I put the device in my pocket or pocket to prevent it from being pulled becomes.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No

This is a nifty little tripod. I'd like an L-shaped plug so it doesn't stick out yet. The reason for only two stars is that the plastic cog/wheel that attaches the mounting screw to the camera is broken. I can still twist it to tighten it but it has another crack which means another piece could break off soon and render it unusable. If that happens I won't buy anything else.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Not worth the money

Tried with RX100 VI. Decided to return the next day. It's no better than a regular $98 mini tripod. The handle length is ok, but a bit too short. Movie start/stop, photo shutter and zoom. But you have to plug and unplug the cable every time you take your camera out of your pocket. If you constantly attach the grip, the camera loses its compactness. With those features alone, it should be free with a $1200 camera. If Sony is asking $98, that should include a battery so it can be used as anโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

This grip provides a convenient way to hold and partially control all but the original RX100 cameras. However, I find this may not work if you have hand and finger dexterity issues. You connect the grip's microUSB cable to the camera's multi-port. There's no power dial on the grip, so you still have to turn on the power with the button on top of the camera. This requires an additional, time-consuming step. In my opinion, the handgrip should have an ON/OFF control for the camera. Due to theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
