I don't know anything about painting, but I had to make a thing, *and* it was going to end up in a context where a lot of professional artists would see it! I ordered this little kit and a bottle of gesso, and I got a whole package of disposable palettes from Dollar Tree for $1. Add some water to a disposable plastic cup left over from a party, grab a few paper towels, and I had everything I needed.I was thrilled with how easy these were for a person like me to use, and the portion of my thing that had to be painted ended up looking fantastic! I was also pleasantly surprised that cleanup was so easy; the paint came right off my skin with simple water and brief scrubbing. The brushes cleaned easily in water between colors, and I dried them with the paper towels for immediate reuse.Definitely buy the gesso as well; I tried one bit without it, and that didn't work at all. But after covering my remaining surfaces with a quick layer of gesso and letting it dry overnight, I couldn't have been happier with this kit the next morning.I just need to buy more of a color I used up, now.I 100% would buy again!
