I completely removed the cable to install the wallbox with the switch. Cons: I had to drill my own vertical holes in the mounting plate to be able to mount the light horizontally to my outlet. And then 2 screw slots in the lamp itself did not allow to press the lamp tightly against the wall, leaving no noticeable gap. So I used a dremel to chisel the holes for the lamp to the front of the lamp to give more clearance to the wall and still find the holes in the mounting plate open. Being a do-it-yourselfer, this task came easy to me and was worth it in the end. However, the manufacturer could have designed it better ex works. Hence the 4.
