The light is very flexible in terms of mounting position and has enough adjustment flexibility to direct it where you want it. The biggest challenge is finding a dimmer that will dim a 7W LED. I tried 8 different dimmer switches recommended by Home Depot, Lowes and Lamps Plus. None of them dim the lights. Some left the lights flickering but not dimming. I tried to contact the supplier but never received a reply. I thought they might have a dimmer that they know works or they might recommend one that they think works. The problem seems to be that the load (7W) is too low for the dimmer to handle the load. The second issue was installing the lamp. There is a groove that should fit 3 set screws. If you put all three set screws in the groove, the aiming will work correctly and the mount will be secure. I never managed to get all three screws into the groove. Holding the jig in the correct position with one hand and screwing all the set screws into the groove was very difficult and I never managed to achieve this situation. So now I have a lamp that isn't mounted quite right and won't dim!
