I bought this lens to use on my Sony A6000. Its performance corresponds to the price. I don't really want the Sony 24-70z because it's only 1 notch faster. Judging by various reviews, Zeiss is not much better, but it is expensive. 28-70 equals 42-105mm (equivalent to 35mm), which is very versatile. I sometimes use it with a Sony VCL-DH1758 teleconverter and it extends the range to 184mm (equivalent to 35mm) which isn't bad for some medium telephotos. For a wider angle I have the 24mm f1.8 z which is an amazing lens. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. It's not the fastest or clearest, but it's good enough for general use.
