The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

I use this lens with a Sony A5100 camera. So far only at home, with cats. But it was with them that I noticed good stabilization, color reproduction and sharpness. I used to use the regular 16-50, after which I had to edit all the photos, and often add sharpness. For example, one photo. Focus 57 (85 equivalent) mm, aperture f/5, ISO 2022, shutter speed 1/40 s. There is only a slight reduction in noise during processing. In my opinion, at ISO 2022, such a small amount of noise is simply…

    Pros
    • The biggest advantage for me, which immediately caught my eye, is stabilization. I immediately felt it when shooting indoors in low light. There was a feeling that the picture on the display simply "freezes" after focusing, no movement is visible at all. I also stopped changing anything in the white balance and other color settings during RAW processing. In my opinion, the color reproduction is perfect. I only began to reduce noise and trim.
    Cons
    • As an amateur, I did not notice the shortcomings.

Nice product, happy with my purchase and may buy again.

Has pros: Staff for most full-frame cameras of the Sony a7 sensitivity) brought back a lot of high-quality, sharp, with good color reproduction, and a6000 cameras. Got cons: in the direction of improvement, are sometimes quite significant.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not perfect quality, there is a small defect.

Pros below: Well assembled, but it's only surprising if you switch from crop cameras. Has cons: I had 2 But both had soap on the edges of the frame even at f8! Even their own inexpensive fifty dollars, which is similar in materials and price, is much better in terms of picture quality.

A good product, I advise you to try it.

Budget travel zoom with autofocus and optical stabilizer, for a quite adequate, not space (like most Sony lenses) price. Especially useful for beginners and not too pretentious photographers. Got pros: Staff for most full-frame cameras of the Sony a7 family. Suitable for most beginners and experienced hobbyists. Good in good lighting. A good picture indoors when shooting photos and videos indoors due to high-quality ISO (light sensitivity). He showed himself well on a trip to the Arctic Circle,

The quality is ok on the whole, it has some small flaws.

I won't recommend buying it. I got it as a whale with a carcass, and therefore not particularly upset with the money spent. I will sell, for sure. Sony has never really pleased photographers with its whales. Has some pros Compactness. Considering the huge shortage of available glasses for the E mount, you are just glad that the lens is without an adapter. Autofocus seems to suit, silent. The lens hood is removed easily, the elastic bands are pleasant, without backlash. With its cons. The stub…

Summarizing, we can say this: tightly sewn, but okay tailored. Pros below: There are no backlashes of the trunk, focus and zoom rings. Dust and moisture protection, there is a sealing cuff in the gap between the trunk and the body. The trunk moves out by about 1 cm in the 28 mm position, at 40 mm the trunk is completely removed, then when the focal length of 70 mm is reached, it is extended by 1 cm. I can say for sure that without covering the apertures, it is in sufficient quantity, the…

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

I use this lens for video shooting, sometimes for photos, of course, fr is very small, 24-105 is an ideal solution, but it costs more than 1k euros. The lens is not bad, at 70 mm and 5.6 aperture, just right for portraits, slightly soapy 😀. But after a year of use, I started having problems, at 28-30 mm when shooting video when zooming, you can see how the vignetting correction disappears, and for a moment the picture dances on the sides, and only at a wide angle. I suspect that the problem is

    Pros
    • Weight, build quality, no backlash.
    Cons
    • sharpness is weak, focal lengths are small.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not my best purchase, could have found something else.

Starting from F9, it starts to crawl with focus and focuses for a long time. A bunch of HA, distortion, smeared edges, vignetting. The focal range of 28-70 is so-so, it would be better if they did 18 - 35 F5 than this, it still lathers wildly at F3.5. I never shoot with this glass at 50 and 70mm, for this any fix will be much better, even the cheapest one. But for the money, how much it costs, this is a good glass to start, or take a picture where you need good quality but the budget is…

    Pros
    • gives a good picture for the price light the zoom ring is not tight and does not dangle at idle
    Cons
    • plastic no moisture protection soap autofocus focal range

    A valuable purchase, some advantages!

Robust Reliable Basically a whale like a whale Great for video shooting Stub holds up well So little about optics I have not written yet How could I miss such a moment . his competitor, the hare 24-70 / 4, is, in principle, better only in 2 cases 1) 4 on the entire segment 2) holds back, but it is with a lower resolution Those. if 4 and backlight are not relevant to you, then take this lens without a drop of doubt. She justifies herself 100%

    Pros
    • Dust and moisture protection
    Cons
    • does not hold back well

    A valuable purchase, some advantages!

In general, I am satisfied with the glass, autofocus strains, in comparison with the EOS 6D + 24-70 / 4 LIS is much slower and not more confident. Perhaps this is a feature of the camera. I took the camera for video and manual fixes. I was pleased with the lens hood in the kit, the sharpness is not razor-sharp, but very good, I expected the worst. The geometry is not perfect, there is a vignette, but everything is easily solved in LR profiles. The lens surprised me with resistance to counter, I

    Pros
    • Lightweight, sharp enough, nice design, good stub (in conjunction with A7m2) thread for filters 55, holds the counter well. Blend included.
    Cons
    • No stub switches and MF all through the camera. Dark, used to light optics. The background washes slightly, but this is not a porterette. Autofocus is quite slow

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, Im glad I chose this option.

I took it exclusively for autofocus in video in a pair with Sonya a7-3. All other lenses that I use are much more expensive and it was amazing to get such a picture on a whale. I used to consider whales on canons and nikons to be garbage before buying the first normal glass. On this whale you can shoot (both photos and videos) anything. The idea of buying this particular glass was taken from the operators of the academician.

    Pros
    • Good autofocus in video Very sharp, even relatively much more expensive counterparts Design allows use on stabilizers Stabilizer 15k for such glass is a gift, considering so small differences in picture quality with the same 24-105 for 100k
    Cons
    • There are no disadvantages for this value. Of course, you should not expect a good construct and eternal materials for such money.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

As such, there are no disadvantages, it is convenient to use.

Convenient for shooting video. With a little stretch (taking into account the indicated shortcomings), you can use it for wedding photography. If there is nothing else at hand, you can even take a portrait, landscape, whatever . I took it for myself (on the A7M3) just for video and for photos as an inexpensive universal staffer for random scenes (on vacation) and as a replacement for fixes (35-28mm) for episodic shooting, if a 55mm fix cannot be used (indoors) or "the soul demands" a wider…

    Pros
    • Price-quality ratio. For a practically free "whale" lens, it is far from useless, and at the same time it is a full-fledged zoom with autofocus and stabilizer. Is it possible to ask for something more for its price? Given the price, you can safely put 5 stars, but I still put 4, so as not to get the feeling that the lens is without flaws. Pretty sharp. For a zoom, it’s not bad at all, for its cost - I would even say - surprisingly sharp. It feels like it allows at least 12-15MP (less at the edges at the short end and the open aperture). Quite normal bokeh, and in general the picture is not "plastic" at all. Not as plastic as good fixes, but again, remember that this is a zoom, and its price is several times less than the most inexpensive of the full-frame autofocus fixes for the Sony E mount. Subjectively, I would compare the image that can be obtained on the A7M3 with this lens at 1/8 aperture at ISO100 with the one obtained at ISO300-400 with a good fix (for example, Zeiss 55 / 1.8). Quite contrasting even in backlight (does not lather) and hares are acceptable. Compact and lightweight. When zooming, the trunk extends slightly, the front lens does not rotate, the focus does not walk. The stabilizer is fine.
    Cons
    • The disadvantages are also a continuation of its cost and the corresponding simplicity of design. The lens, of course, does not live up to the "professional" requirements. Not to say that it is strong, but still, for a demanding look, defects will be visible. This is a consequence of vignetting, distortion and aberrations, which are clearly visible in RAW. All this is easily corrected by the lens profile, but of course there are consequences. In terms of sharpness, more modern lenses also stepped forward. But then again, everything can be forgiven for its price. It happens that no less defects are characteristic of other much more expensive zooms.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Feel free to buy, for such a price, the quality is simply amazing.

Previously, he worked on canon with L-series zooms - 24-70 2.8, 24-105 4, as well as tamron 24-70 2.8. And after them, I'm not dumb to use this lens for professional purposes. Still, this is already modern glass, and it looks good against the background of its professional competitors. As I already said, the sharpness at the edges is excellent, on all my Kenon copies everything was worse there. I am attaching some photos of it.

    Pros
    • Good optical quality - no noticeable blurring of edges, etc. as on many used / ear canon 24-70 and 24-105. Sharpness is excellent. In conjunction with a7m2, it gives greater sharpness than, for example, 5d2 + 24 70 2.8 at the same aperture values \u200b\u200bdue to the much thinner AA filter in a7m2. It even seems to me that 5d2 does not give such sharpness. Autofocus is not audible at all. In good light - very fast. The lens feels like a quality item without any lifts.
    Cons
    • Very afraid of backlight. Blend does not always save. In low light, autofocus is noticeably slower, but do not forget about aperture. You can forget about bokeh, you rarely see it there :)

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

The purchase was not entirely successful, there were minor problems in use.

I regret buying it. It would be better to take a carcass, and then I bought a lens with a variable focal length. At first, I sinned on the E-Mount mount (compared to M, it is "flat"). But after using the Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 35mm f/2.8 and two adapters for A and M mounts, where the lenses are rigid even through the adapter, I realized that this was a drawback of the lens itself. His "boot". And this does not apply only to my lens. I tried it in stores on several copies - everywhere axial

    Pros
    • Autofocus, zoom, medium-sized lenses, light weight in principle, good electronics, image stabilizer.
    Cons
    • Average. Axial play approximately 0.5 degrees.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    Very underrated glass

Economical glass. Good image quality, light and a great versatile lens. I have a number of highly rated Sony and third-party lenses, both Prime and Zoom, and aside from the pixelated looks, the image quality is fairly comparable. For everyday photography, this is perhaps my favorite lens.

    Pros
    • Stylish and modern design
    Cons
    • Slightly wrinkled glass

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Whale lens that gives decent video

I bought this lens to use as an extra angle for wedding videos - I needed something with autofocus (it's a drone camera) and enough zoom range to to allow different image settings. I also use it occasionally for simple travel videos (hiking, boating, family fun) and it does the job well. The variable aperture isn't ideal for indoor shooting (video or photos) of course, but for the price it's a good workhorse for outdoor video, especially personal use.

    Pros
    • Easy to read control panel
    Cons
    • There are new competitors

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Zeiss is not much better but expensive

I bought this lens to use on my Sony A6000. Its performance corresponds to the price. I don't really want the Sony 24-70z because it's only 1 notch faster. Judging by various reviews, Zeiss is not much better, but it is expensive. 28-70 equals 42-105mm (equivalent to 35mm), which is very versatile. I sometimes use it with a Sony VCL-DH1758 teleconverter and it extends the range to 184mm (equivalent to 35mm) which isn't bad for some medium telephotos. For a wider angle I have the 24mm f1.8 z…
