Gently gets the job done
Firstly, you get A LOT for your money, probably for life. Second, it basically softens the wax so it can be rinsed off under the tap. You don't want it to be stronger or it could damage your comb/brush. If you want something stronger, use 91% isopropyl alcohol from the pharmacy. It removes wax and oil instantly but can damage the plastic.
