Firstly, you get A LOT for your money, probably for life. Second, it basically softens the wax so it can be rinsed off under the tap. You don't want it to be stronger or it could damage your comb/brush. If you want something stronger, use 91% isopropyl alcohol from the pharmacy. It removes wax and oil instantly but can damage the plastic.

I've been looking for a ship shape for a long time and couldn't find it. I was happy to find it at Revain at a reasonable price. I always put the product in a spray bottle with water. This not only allows me to clean my brushes and combs, but also to heat the roots. It also lasts a long time as you don't have to use as much if you dilute it with water.

My beautician sister recommended this product for my combs and it was just amazing. I threw away my brushes because they had so much build up and this product was so easy and quick. After removing the hairs from my brush, I left them in the solution for about 30 minutes. Wiped the dirt off with a glove and my brush looked brand new! Elbow lubrication is not required. This product is highly recommended!

Ship shaped comb and brush cleaners have arrived today. I used it once to clean the bristles and pad of a wooden brush. I scrubbed the sink with it then soaked the brush bristles and pad for 15 minutes. When I removed the brush most of the discoloration was gone and the brush looked almost new. I haven't tried it on plastic combs and haven't used a brush yet, but for now I recommend this product.

My husband uses a hair product that got on his comb and it had kind of a white sticky texture that really stuck to the comb. I LOVE this product! It arrived quickly; packaging is strong! It has a "reusable" zipper but I couldn't close it. Probably due to user ineptitude, so I just used a chip clip. UPDATE: I bought this in 2016 and it's 2021 now. I still have 90% of it! It takes a long time. It still cleans my brushes great! I put just under half a scoop into an old marinade jar and add the scrubbing brushes while I wash my hair. When I'm done using the shampoo, the brushes can be taken out and washed.
