So instead of buying a changing pad I used it to make my own. The item arrived vacuum packed and as stated takes up to 72 hours to fully assume its shape. I took advantage of this time to hand wash the outer case (which is a good material) and the zipped protective film inside. It's really soft yet firm like most memory foam mattresses. I'm a small size (corresponds to the size of the changing table I chose) and it really is perfect for my DIY project. This is for a small dog (or cat if you have one). Since this is a dog bed, I recommend it for breeds up to 15 pounds or so. I am thinking of buying this for my older Shiba Inu dog who is around 30lbs so I would probably choose medium or large (maybe a cat can join but I doubt it).
