I have an old Volkswagen with a great stereo but no bluetooth or extra inputs. I tried almost ten different adapters, mostly from Bestbuy. All of these BestBuy adapters sounded great, except for poor electrical shielding, which traps static electricity when you're near high-voltage power lines or airports. All of these adapters lasted about a month before turning into complete junk. So I figured that being familiar with the monster mic and guitar cables would be great. This adapter has a feature that opens the top of the device, allowing you to reposition the cable for your particular stereo. My first adapter broke the instant I opened the top of the unit and wasn't even terribly upset as I was able to set it up so it wasn't a terribly big problem, but after plugging it into my cassette player I realized that on the entire left side of the car the speakers didn't even play. So I took it out, put my old BestBuy static box back in and played all the speakers so I know there isn't a problem with my speakers. So I started the rotation process and Amazon quickly sent me a new adapter. The second didn't break, but it was difficult to even get the tape recorder to register it, and when I finally fiddled with it enough to get it to work, I had the same problem. Only the right speakers played. I don't know if it's the wiring or what exactly the problem is, but it's definitely an adapter, not my machine. Now I'm going to bite the bullet and just upgrade my stereo to a bluetooth compatible stereo. LOSS OF MONEY GET OUT OF PROBLEMS
