I bought three packs of 3 of these lamps because I really wanted some "daylight" lighting for my master bathroom. I work near a lot of windows and it's sometimes shocking how different my makeup looks in different places. Yes, I bought them for my dressing table. For my vanity! My dressing table has eight lamps, so I used eight. Everything works fine (no "hack"). If I flip the light, they light up immediately, although not as brightly as when they're full brightness. But with eight at a time it's still pretty light! I appreciate that they don't dissipate the heat that makes my face sweat. This is counterproductive when trying to apply makeup. These lights stay cool! I'm happy with them so far and recommend them to anyone who wants to feel a fresh dose of "morning" sun when they step into their bathroom in the morning!
