This palm grinder is lightweight! It works very well for all the replastering, wall painting, and furniture repair projects I've done. Of course, the grain of the sandpaper is also important. One of the initial difficulties was removing and replacing the sandpaper. I've learned that to remove the paper you hold the platen down and release the clips with your index fingers instead of your thumbs - this gives you more control over the clips and doesn't break your fingers. Also, I wish I'd spent a little more on a tote bag; Wherever I work, I carry a box (with all my gear, like goggles and a mask) around the house at all times. Very happy with my purchase overall.
