Review on ✈️ Moo Toys Glider Plane for Birthday Parties by Farhad Cantu

Good simple fun

I asked my 10 year old nephew for help to try them out and overall we are both happy with these gliders. I was skeptical when I unpacked it and saw that both the fenders and body are molded foam. I was worried they wouldn't survive rough landings and an accidental kick with a clumsy foot. I am happy to report that my fears have dissipated. After several hours of awkward starts for my nephew and I resulting in hard landings, straight dive landings, and one glider even being hit by a truck, both gliders continued to glide efficiently. The glider that was shot down had two large cracks in the vertical keel, but my nephew "polished the apple" so to speak and simply switched the rear wings for hinges and spent the rest of the time flying the glider in a corkscrew. dives around us. I sealed the cracks with super glue and my nephew insisted on testing it after me. He claims he now flies as well as an undamaged glider. It's a little strange considering this backpack costs around $10 at the time of writing and you're literally paying for compressed foam. Anyway, I think the price is fair. The only assembly required is to fit the main wing and tail wing into their respective slots on the airframe. There are two slots in the stern, one for straight gliding and the other for flying loops. Not only is foam more durable than you might think, but it also deals a lot less damage (ask my nephew - his glider hit him in the shoulder, chest, and leg multiple times, and he found it hilarious). Between ease of assembly, ease of use, durability and less chance of damage/injury, I think they are worth the price. I've never played with gliders, but I took a hint from my very limited experience with RC airplanes. and launched the glider at various angles downwind. With a light breeze I got really good airtime. My nephew is very prone to throwing things and I thought this would be a good way to introduce him to articulation. If you just drop these gliders, they will likely dive. Launch them by pushing your hand straight up in the air.
