Light and soft. At first it was too light for me and my husband, but after buying a light duvet to put on the bed, it's great. We both like it when a burden is placed on us to sleep. I have a queen bed, but I booked a king bed after reading reviews that the queen bed was a bit small. For pillows, most of the flowers are on the front and the stripe runs right down the middle. I just use the slightly floral side with no visibility and add a pillow for more color. See photo 2. The blankets are long but I put them next to the bed pillows. In picture 3 you can see that most of the flowers that should have been at the foot of the bed extend along the edge of the bed, after tossing the duvet up and down on my bed for a long time and pulling the duvet back up under the pillows. I turned the very floral side down. It hangs down the sides just the way I like it to easily cover all the sheets and duvets. Great buy for the money. I just washed and had no problems.
