Some of those old resistive TFT LCD touch screens on thermostats and alarm panels are so bad they actually hurt your eyes. Surprisingly, this one isn't that bad. Installation was easy. Installs the same as a standard keypad with my DSC alarm panel. Since I also connected two of them in parallel at different locations, I was only able to set up one and then "copy" all my settings directly over the network to the other. Very nice feature saved a lot of time and it works. It's possible to load custom wallpapers by inserting an SD card with image files, and also use them as picture frames, although the display will eventually expire (I believe the max timeout is around 30 minutes). Beautiful modern interface. The screen is easy to read even at an angle. Looks nice and tidy when mounted on the wall. All in all a very good product for the money. While functionally it doesn't offer much of an advantage over a standard physical keyboard, aesthetically it's really great.
