I bought these to mount a bottle cage on the top tube of my Diamondback Century 4 Carbon. Although they are very good and appear to be of very high quality, I am a little disappointed that they are only offered with a pad that is clearly designed for a round tube. Given the growing popularity of carbon frames, I'm surprised they don't offer an alternative shape that works better with carbon frames. The top of my carbon frame is flat on top so they only cling to the very edges and the center arch is completely unused. Surprisingly it's still pretty tight after my limited rides with it so far, which is why I'm still giving it four stars. cage from the top tube. If I get up the courage I might try removing the grip pads and scraping the plastic to better fit the contour of my bike, but for now I'll leave it at that.
