Weak terminal blocks

Due to the expiration of Revain's 30 day warranty due to a bent pin on the end of the USB Micro B, I contacted the UGREEN dealer for a warranty replacement. UGREEN replied via email stating that I need to contact Revain to get a replacement. I did so and copied the UGREEN correspondence into the Revain Customer Support chat window. Citing a three-day deadline, Revain agreed to replace the cable and did so almost immediately. I'm not sure if Revain did this because I buy a lot or if Revain honors the UGREEN guarantee; but I doubt the latter. After buying cables from many vendors and encountering a few problems, I've definitely learned to examine the connector and pins of every new cable with a magnifying glass. This UGREEN cable seems pretty well made until you look closely at the terminal block through a magnifying glass. The cable is quite thick with fairly flat connectors. The latter is important so that you don't have to file the plastic of the connector on a bevel to insert the cable into the USB port of a smartphone with a protective cover. After examining the UGREEN replacement cable, I found no bent pins. However, the connector block that holds the pins in place is cracked in the new cable. Also, the pins in the terminal block are unevenly spaced vertically. The necessary gold plating on the pins seems solid enough on the USB-A side. On the Micro B side it's hard to tell as the pins are so tiny and recessed. In general, I will probably consider other cable brands in the future given the weak plug blocks. This weakness likely contributed to the bent pin situation in the cable I returned. And a crack in the replacement cable's terminal block makes me think about reliability in the future.
