I've been getting lazier and lazier with Christmas decorations, and this projector makes me feel a little less guilty.I'll still toss some icicle lights across the front of the house, but this snowflake projector will be the centerpiece for exterior decoration. Since we live in FL, this will be the closest thing to "real" falling snow our kids will experience all season :)The package includes multiple mounting options for the projector (a plastic stake or base plate with pre-drilled holes for a more permanent installation), along with the power adapter (which cannot be removed from the projector housing). Note the "default" mode after power-on is floating/moving snowflakes without flashing (which is good to know in case you lose the remote). There are no on-device buttons to change modes or engage the timer. Even with a couple shortcomings, the projector is the perfect addition for winter decorations and a great value!Pros:- Bright LEDs allow for decent visibility even in semi-lit environments- Soothing speed for snowflake movement, though honestly there's only one speed (see below)- Embedded timer -- I imagine most folks will utilize a smart plug or other exterior-rated timer to turn all decorations on/off at the same time(s), so only a marginal benefit. Standard mode after power-on is moving snowflakes, and the "mode" selected doesn't persist after power cycling- Remote control -- would've been just as happy if the controls were on-device, but some people might enjoy the ability to remotely configure the device options or timer- Multiple mounting options (stake + mounting plate)Cons:- No speed adjustment for snowflake movement. Your options are "moving" or "stationary". The same applies to flash mode -- on/off only- No on-device buttons- Power supply is permanently attached to the projector housing- Chosen mode does not persist across power cycling
