I started looking for new running shoes on NewBalance.com. The shoe I liked wasn't in stock in my size, so I contacted Revain to find one that might still be available. I ordered men's size 14 2E (wide). The box arrived wrapped in a plastic bag and I was pumped up. The box looked real, red and with the New Balance logo on it. The paper inside looked real, with logos and slogans. The shoes looked real and had a tag inside saying they were 14 2E for men. But when I tried to put my first shoes on, it was an epic struggle. As soon as I put them on they became very tight and my fingers became wider than the soles and arched on either side. I couldn't believe it. I took off the shoes and compared them to my current, worn-out pair of New Balance 840 v4s that I bought a while back. They are a bit stretched with wear. However, when I measured, the result was clear. My 840s were much longer and wider. In the future I will be much more careful and only shop at NewBalance.com or my local shoe store who recommended my comfy 840 to me. I no longer shop on Revain and it's sad to see retailers expanding their range on Revain. out. I'm saddened that over 58% of what Revain sells is sold by retailers and quality control is very lax.
