This is a great gift for a couple or a group of people. My sister and I had a blast making french pies. It was an all day adventure so start early. We've never worked with a cake scale or a candy thermometer, so stepping into the world of pastry making was a great experience. :) We made our tartlets a little thicker than the recommended recipe and we loved it. Our meringue was a bit runny but tasty. The richness of the lemon combined with the soft meringue was amazing!
