Review on Aprilaire 🌡️ 56 Humidity Controller by Barbara Evans

My old humidistat was not working properly and honestly looked like it was going moldy as it was getting stained. I ordered this to replace what I had. It was the perfect replacement for my old one as the wiring layout was accurate. Removing the old one and installing the new one only took a few minutes. I followed the installation instructions and it worked as usual. It's a bit pricey, but who wants to buy a brand new humidifier when they don't need it? It works great and is cheaper than other places. After a bit of research, I found out that my Aprilaire 600 series humidifier can use a wired outdoor temperature sensor that allows for automatic humidity control. This sensor is used with this humidistat and is packaged in the humidistat box as an added bonus. Since it can also be set to manual mode, it has a bypass resistor that clicks perfectly. The sensor itself is about 3 inches long and connected to a cable about 2 feet long. The instructions indicate the location of the sensor. Many reviewers have used a variety of wires to bridge the distance: phone wires, speaker wires, old unused AC power cords running outside, etc.
