Aprilaire 🌡️ 56 Humidity Controller Review

Bought for my Apriele 558 humidifier which has stopped working. It often clicked when turned on and only worked in test mode. There is another humidifier that claims to work but I need a direct replacement. Insert wires and screws and my water will flow again. Highly recommended.

Exactly as described. New in box. Pro Tip: If your system isn't draining water through the panel, it's usually either the flow control solenoid or the humidistat panel itself that's no longer sending the correct signal. You can test the magnet on a bench with a voltmeter first to be sure.

Updated version of the same model that was originally installed with an Aprilaire Model 400 humidifier 12 years ago. same wiring etc. Now it works fine. There was a small error during installation because I hadn't switched the selector switch under the cover fully to where I needed it. (It was moved to the left, but not all the way.) After I corrected this setting, everything worked fine.

My old humidistat was not working properly and honestly looked like it was going moldy as it was getting stained. I ordered this to replace what I had. It was the perfect replacement for my old one as the wiring layout was accurate. Removing the old one and installing the new one only took a few minutes.
