Review on Aprilaire 🌡️ 56 Humidity Controller by Kelly Nelson

I received an Aprilaire 56 humidistat today. This is a replacement for the original 56 that was installed on my Aprilaire 600 central humidifier system about 12 years ago. As it has been very cold here in southeastern Pennsylvania of late, I have noticed a significant drop in humidity in the house, enough to cause static shock, which hasn't happened since the main unit was installed. So, after the inspection, the humidifier did not receive any water. After checking the humidistat, I noticed that the solenoid didn't open. I checked the presence of 24V on the humidifier with a tester, the result is 0V. Then I realized that it was a humidistat. Installation took about 30 minutes as I already had an outside temperature sensor. Only 4 sheet metal screws had to be tightened on the new block and 6 wires attached. The water is flowing again.
