I hate washing dishes. When preparing food, I try to minimize consumption in order to wash less. Because of this, the thought of using multiple small cooking bowls was unappealing, so I just tried to keep the ingredients separate by type on the same cutting board. Carrots here, onions there, celery there, herbs here, etc. Of course that was cumbersome, but then I only had to clean one cutting board! I received these bowls with the intention of using them as snacks to use less plastic bags. That's why I wanted the one with the lid. And they work well for that. I will use them for blueberries, raspberries, grapes, nuts, hummus, veggie dip and the like. But then I also started using them as part of my cooking and found that sometimes it's easier to use more bowls. No more juggling the same cutting board while I chop veggies for dinner. No more digging through this container and that container while something is overheating on the stove. I can arrange several ingredients in a row and gradually add them as needed. Definitely worth it if you want something to take away small snacks or make a meal or hey they can do both. Just not at the same time.
