I like my new camera! I'm a casual camera user and probably easier to please than techy photographers, but I'm really enjoying this purchase. I use it to relax, but I really like to do some artistic shots every once in a while and I've had some great shots already. It's so compact, but the large touchscreen makes the camera very easy to use. The menu is simple, which is great when you're trying to snap a photo and need to rush to change the settings. It's intuitive and fast. My photos came out with very vivid colors and look exactly like what I see in person. The settings are so easily accessible that I use them more often than I would with a non-touchscreen, and in return I get better images in a variety of conditions. The touchscreen size is nice and doesn't feel as fragile as I feared. It feels rubbery and is scratch resistant. I love the lens cap that you just slide up or down to open the lens and turn on the camera. The camera is heavier than I expected, but it's very compact and feels solid. I really appreciate that it comes with a wrist strap. My camera is dark grey, which I find smoother and more interesting than the standard silver. I also like the extra features I didn't think I needed like the smile detector and scrapbook maker. The smile detector doesn't detect the most natural smiles, as there's a delay while you wait for it to detect a smile, but it's really neat technology that's fun to experiment with. And I actually used the scrapbook feature which allows you to easily create a scrapbook from your photos in your chosen style. Sharing photos from your camera just got more fun. There are many other features that I appreciate as well, such as: B. Image recognition, soft background setting, etc. The camera has USB and multi-audio/video, so you can share photos on your TV screen, which is convenient when sharing with a group. And I love the charger. It's much more portable than older wired versions. I seriously considered buying something cheaper but I am very happy with this purchase. I can't remember a single complaint. Technology and touchscreen deserve an upgrade. The touchscreen makes it easy and quick to use, I love the size of the camera, my shots turn out great, and the user-friendly menu, extra features, and stylish sliding-cap factor make it a very pleasant purchase.
