We needed a fix from fr 50 to 1dm3. With a crop of 1.3, there were not very many options - 35mm is too wide, but 50 is also past the checkout. The choice fell on forty. Efr 51mm - perfect. I am very pleased with the glass. Not the L series of course, but the picture is very clear, sharp and saturated. Autofocus works perfectly, practically does not smear. The aperture is too small for pampering with bokeh, but with f1.8 or 2 it would cost completely different money. Another very positive thing is the weight. 1d already weighs a lot, and from 70-200 turns into a kettlebell weighing 3 kg. Therefore, glass with a weight of 130 grams is just a joy for me) I don’t even want to take it off. By the way, it looks very stylish on a huge one, I didn’t even expect it to look so harmonious. The main disadvantage is the price. If before the currency jump it cost 5tr, now it is 10, and it is psychologically difficult to accept. As a result: an excellent fix with a non-standard fr. For me, it is an ideal replacement for half a toss, people are also happy with it on FF, on a 1.6 xs crop, how does it manifest itself, and is it needed? But if he is satisfied with his fr, then feel free to take it. Assembled with high quality and gives a picture much more expensive than its price. Good glass!
