Grain mites on food
I mostly get it with grain mites and other live insects. I am very upset about this. I had to clean and cook everything in the cage with crabs. Also, I had to soak the hermits in a salt water solution to get rid of the mites. And then I took another bottle, I thought it was the exact same bottle, the same thing happened again. Took my hermits to the vet, they didn't have ticks. Took some food and they found out it was grain mites and they got into the food. Not harmful to germs. But it's still gross.
