I ordered these to improve visibility on my kids bikes. At less than $4 a bike I thought it was a good deal. We used them last night and they worked great. Although the front light (black) is not designed to be a full headlight, it emits enough light for you to see about 8-10 feet ahead. We rode a bike path with lighting conditions: well lit, dimly lit, and dark (there were no lights nearby). I could easily tell where my children were, whether they were far in front of me or far behind. And obviously (due to speed/traffic etc) the lights are on the bike which is why I bought them. So that other cyclists and especially motorists can see how my children ride. Both displays are very bright and have "on" and "blink" modes. If you're looking for a little safety and insurance or just want to keep an eye on others you ride with then that's no problem. If you're looking for a classic bike headlight that lights the way ahead, you've come to the right place. It should be noted that installation is an absolute breeze. It takes about a second and the material seems to last a long time. They can be quickly and easily removed from the bike and placed on a scooter, stroller or anything else that has a wrap around tube. These are really fantastic little lights at the moment, especially for the price. I will update the rating. as soon as the batteries are empty. That way I have an idea of how long they actually last and how easy and inexpensive they are to replace.
