I read many reviews before buying this book and was comforted when experienced people said it was for beginners. But when I bought it and saw all the sizes and numbers, I got scared. Then, a few days later, I picked it up again and read it more closely. That's when I realized that this book was exactly what I was looking for. I love skirts but all I can find in stores are pencil skirts and I wanted more. So I decided to learn to sew and sew myself. This book takes me step by step through the process of taking correct measurements to make a pattern and muslin for skirts that fit me! Yes, there are many steps and measurements, but that's it, what you need. A tip: rotate your Kindle or iPad so that it is in portrait (rather than landscape) orientation.
