Terrible product. Less than 4 months later the clutch locking mechanism stopped working. One piece of cable started to rust. Rust appears between the rubber sheath of the cable and the cable itself. The transparent shell takes on an ugly yellowish color. When it rains, water gets in and settles there, wreaking havoc on the interior parts. I've only used it once to lock a couple of bikes at a campsite. Apart from that one time, said damage happened when I just bolted it to my bumper. I've unplugged the cable many times to "let it dry" but then the cable locking mechanism won't lock it in the "holding" position. At this point I tried using some WD40 to loosen the clutch mechanism and squeeze the water out. It didn't help. The product would be great if you only use it indoors and NEVER take it outside for any reason, EVER. The accessory mount is also rusty. I don't live near a salty beach or a rainy area. I live at the foot of the Smoky Mountains. Things don't rust anytime soon here, but this POS did. Take my advice and save your money. I feel cheated by this company and will not buy any more Lippert products. save your money See attached pictures.
