This is an update of two PetSpy 1100 training collars. I've had them for a year now and I want to give you some new information. One device had a battery failure and I contacted PetSpy for a new battery. Long story short they told me they don't sell the battery but since I had a 1 year warranty they would replace the collar. How close I was to the one year deadline. About 5 days. They were able to pump up their legs for a few days and told me it wasn't long enough and used that as a reason not to do a replacement. Not only do they have an amazing service department, they also have an amazing product. I had another branded training collar that took 12 hours to charge and lasted about 12 hours. With PetSpy, it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to charge and the charge lasts for several days. This depends on how often it is used. The collar has a sleep mode. When the collar is not moving, it goes into sleep mode, which reduces battery consumption. By the way, I have to charge the transmitter about every 4-5 times when I charge the collar. Holds a charge really long. That's good, but let me tell you about some other features. There is a sound mode (noise), a vibration and a shock mode. Each is installed separately. If the dog is in a good training mode and just needs a little nudge to get them to act, then the sound mode is great. That's all our Maltese need. If the dog says "I'll just find out" a little longer before I protest, the vibration works wonders. I can set it a little closer to the upper vibration limit and Yellow Lab responds immediately. She knows what's coming next. yes shock If she's gone too far and you really want to tell her not to, turn off the shock. Basically, a slight shock is enough, but you have the option to choose a really unruly dog. The problem is my dogs are smart enough to know when collars are on, they need to be alert. So if I let them out privately, we have to put a collar on them. Without this, they'll object, but maybe not as quickly as you'd like. Then a beep is enough to make them think "instantly”. From time to time the lab moves back a few hundred meters. When that happens, I shout and hit out in shock. I wait 3-5 seconds, I call and press the collar. You could just sow corn in the furrow he leaves by turning the corner on two wheels. But it takes a long time before she leaves this distance again. Distance wasn't a problem. I've never had to go beyond 1100 yards, but I know it's good for 1-3 yards. You can get two collars with just a controller (transmitter), but for the sake of simplicity we got two complete devices. For two units, label "A" and the other "B". You can set the control for just "A" or just for "B" or both with the same settings. You can then set each of the three modes to be different for 'A' or 'B', or the same to control both dogs at the same time with those settings. Collars are very versatile. So compare your other PetSpy collars very carefully. For the price, they're hard to beat.
