Overall a good product but it also has some disadvantages. The shock function is really handy when dealing with thick-coated puppies. But hopefully you don't use it so often that it becomes a problem. The biggest problem is actually the remote control. These are awesome collars. I bought two of these for my dogs who have problems with neighborhood dogs. Whenever my dogs get near the fence, the neighbors' dogs jump on it and bark, and my dogs try to jump up and do the same.
