I'm not an artist. I just wanted some brushes to play with the watercolor to do something else in my free time. I bought this set of brushes and watercolors from Prima Marketing Confection (you can find them here) and they work great. I've been using them for about a year now and they are all in good condition, not falling apart or deteriorating. I have not used them for real paint, only watercolor, so this may contribute to their near perfect condition. So if you paint in watercolor and look at that, I would say go for it. The handles are smooth and look very high quality.
