I bought two of these mounts and may buy a third. They are durable and very useful for various outfitting situations. In addition, they can be used for short tripod extensions and are thick enough to be used as handles. With two mounts I bought they form the parts of a very strong cage for my iPhone combined with various mounts and other components (see pictures). I'm pleased with the quality and the fact that there is a ¼ inch socket at the base of the mount. The only thing to note is that this mount includes a thin plastic washer (located at the base of the included ¼ to ¼ male adapter). If you mount expensive or bulky items on it, you should also include a rubber washer. I highly recommend this product.
