I needed a new gig pad, especially for gigs with metal folding chairs that tip backwards. Bought it because of the black zipper. It was too big for my needs, so I removed the lid and using a serrated kitchen knife, cut about 1 or 2 inches of foam on each side, same on the back, and rounded the front corners a bit. I also washed the lid in hot water to shrink it a bit and let it dry near the radiator overnight. It worked: it folds nicely in half to fit in my gig bag. It's a little soft, but strong enough to more or less flatten a recliner. Nothing wrong with that, I would give it five stars if I didn't have to spend time customizing it.
