I have used a Pur faucet filter in the past and have found it much more difficult to install, bulkier and less reliable (it keeps leaking). Fitting this Brita was easy once I managed to remove the aerator from the faucet. The chrome look is appealing and the water tastes great. I use it every day to make tea. Others have complained that the filters don't last as long as advertised. Yes and no. I have found that if the light turns amber you can remove the cartridge, shake it and then replace it to keep the green light for a few more weeks. In other words, the problem is less with the filters and more with the feedback system. If you use it for about a gallon of water a day I would expect each filter to last 3-4 months. Two replacement filters cost about the same as the system itself, so keep that in mind when investing.
