White system is better than chrome

Used to have the Brita white filter system and chose the Brita black/chrome filter. Unfortunately, the device was not that reliable. Despite changing the filter, the display stopped working after a few months. Returned to using the white Brita filter system; but it was annoying that the chrome filters didn't match the white filter system. Both the chrome and the white filter systems have only a few tap threads. This makes it difficult to get a good fit without slow leaks. I would like the…

100% success with some of these

I have installed at least 6 of these in different apartments over the years and they have all worked flawlessly. wide range) to fit some odd faucets, but that's not the fault of the Brita filter. They include some adapters, but there are many different types of faucets and it would be impossible to provide adapters for all options. Not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews; All I know is that I've bought two of these in the past few months and they both fit perfectly and work great! No…

Weak plastic fittings

I agree with other reviewers. I've been using them for over 10 years. Early iterations had metal adapters, and although the device itself was plastic, they seemed to hold up. The one that has been in our kitchen for about 3 years now is just starting to leak in the faucet area and sometimes if we are not gentle with it when turning the filter on and off it will fall off. Before that it started to shake. We replaced the kitchen faucet at my sister's house with the exact same one we have knowing…

Better Than Pur: Faucet Mounted Filters

I have used a Pur faucet filter in the past and have found it much more difficult to install, bulkier and less reliable (it keeps leaking). Fitting this Brita was easy once I managed to remove the aerator from the faucet. The chrome look is appealing and the water tastes great. I use it every day to make tea. Others have complained that the filters don't last as long as advertised. Yes and no. I have found that if the light turns amber you can remove the cartridge, shake it and then replace it…

Brita 42633 - Complete junk

I have been using an older Brita filter system for years with no problems. I wanted to buy a new one and decided to stick with Brita. The first one I got didn't fit the faucet properly, even using a metal adapter didn't help. I sent it back to Revane and they sent me a new one the next day. I installed it and encountered the same problem. I looked at the threads and there were no signs of damage. The washing machine was permanently installed and the metal adapter I got from Brita fitted the tap

Much better than PUR

I have tried 3 or 4 PUR faucet mount filters. During work, they gave excellent results - but very quickly clogged, and the attachment invariably broke within 6 months. They offer a 5 year guarantee but who wants to go to the trouble and spend money to send it back to the factory every 6 months and then wait a couple of weeks for a replacement. I switched to Brita about 2 years ago and am very satisfied. I changed probably 8 spare filters and it still works. Compared to PUR: ADVANTAGES The…

Brita 42633 Faucet Filter System Black/Chrome

Brita 42633 Faucet Filter System Black/Chrome This is an easy to use water filtration system. I didn't need any tools for installation, I've had the same filter for 5 years now. We used a Pur water filter before switching to Brita. The Pur filter is fine, but fails quickly. The reason we had to replace our Brita which we had for 5 years was that it was worn out. We have benefited greatly from this. Therefore, we tested and compared a lot before choosing the Brita faucet filter. We liked all the

Easy as pie, good for water filtration and softening

I have been using the Brita system for a few years now and have found it satisfactory. I've also had many issues with the marriage of plastic washers and adapters to metal, and criticism of the overall quality of the product. My conclusion: They had glaring design flaws and a short lifespan. However, I just bought my first Chrome and Black model and overall I find it to be a 100% improvement. First of all, just the appearance - it looks healthier and higher quality. Second, and more…

Unfortunately this is the best faucet filter

I have tried several faucet filters. Having filtered water for my family means a lot to me as there is a high possibility of harmful contaminants in our system (our neighborhood in town still has lead pipes to supply water to our house). Our family can't afford the high cost of an embedded system, and we can't afford to lose storage space in our small house. The pur system broke after a month of use, water splashed everywhere. There is no way I would buy this product again, although I could buy
