I have been using an older Brita filter system for years with no problems. I wanted to buy a new one and decided to stick with Brita. The first one I got didn't fit the faucet properly, even using a metal adapter didn't help. I sent it back to Revane and they sent me a new one the next day. I installed it and encountered the same problem. I looked at the threads and there were no signs of damage. The washing machine was permanently installed and the metal adapter I got from Brita fitted the tap perfectly. I pushed it down as best I could, but when I turned on the water and moved the lever to the filter position, I was greeted by a huge splash of water as the whole block exploded out of the faucet! I put it back in the box and it's in my mailbox for the trip back to Revane. I will get my refund and find a more reliable product. Until Brita finds a better method of attachment (like metal) I would stay away from them. It may work well with other faucets but definitely not with my Delta.
