Do not judge the packaging or the outer layer of the brake. It appears to be a cheap package or a third party. Especially for cheap plastic skew pads. However, this is the best (or most expensive) brake pad I have ever used. I installed it in my VW Passat 2016. It comes with a brake sensor while the original doesn't have one. I couldn't find the sensor port either. So I shortened the sensor cable to match the caliber. I think this is a scam on the part of the manufacturer to encourage users to pay more for pads with sensors. It's really fun to use because it's quiet and powerful. I don't need to hit brake pads so linearly and so quietly. You will never experience a sudden stop when you step on the pedal. I have told my friends that it is as smooth as pulling silk. Even if you have a lot on your current pads, I highly recommend changing those pads if you come across anything uncomfortable.
