Consumes 275 mA Good for Tester

When this item arrived I was very unhappy with Revain. The blister pack looked like it had been run over by a truck. And a lot more than once. From the look of the packaging I assumed the item was used but when I finally took the flashlight out of the packaging there was no scratch on it and it looked brand new. So I kept it instead of sending it back. This test light has a very nice flex cable as well as an old style clip that looks like it could be attached to a car or motorcycle battery charger. I like these types of clips because they are easy to apply and really tend to stay in place. If I put the flashlight in series with the ammeter, the light with the included bulb draws 275 milliamps through a freshly charged 12 volt car battery. This makes this light useful for things like testing and turning on relays or small solenoids, which is nice. It also means that if you mainly work with computer circuits, you'll probably need something with lower current draw. A little less than 180 milliamps would be better for this type of work, and a little less than 100 milliamps would be even better. Just to make sure the magic doesn't evaporate from your expensive computer controlled components.

Pros
  • Tester
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
