Review on πŸ§€ Poualss Stainless Steel Wire Cheese Slicer: Effortlessly Cut Soft and Semi-Hard Cheeses with Adjustable Thickness - A Must-Have Kitchen Cooking Tool by Tim Wadman

Cheese tool imperfect design

While I like this general design format, this product has some flaws in implementation. The adjustable roller seemed like a desirable feature, but the implementation in this slicer is imperfect. It uses a single screw in the middle, which isn't enough for two reasons: it can't be hand tightened to prevent slipping, and even with a tightening tool it will still rock back and forth. Therefore, designs that use a pair of set screws are inherently superior. Another major downside is the way the wire cutters are held in place. Impossible to teach it perfectly so the cutting wire has a lot of slack which makes it good at cutting soft cheeses but not good for hard cheeses. Designs using wire with metal protrusions on the ends seem excellent.
