Review on modelDBA by Tyler Born

As soon as I switched over from another management tool; Model DbA made my job easier then anything! It was very straight forward in building models of our data sets which has been one issue all along when working manually or through an excel sheet - having too many variables / tables just not possible!! If anyone is looking at switching DB/MS tools there are some pretty good ones out their however this could work best if its already used but even still worth checking them though because most companies will give 3 free months trial etc before buying (if any). Building multiple diagrams off each other easy flowcharts & graphs. Multiple views across tabs makes managing data manageable especially where spreadsheets have limits/quota issues. Great feature set including being able to export into Excel format via API. Would be great adding auto refresh capability similar what SSIS does within sql agent I like best ModelDB's ability to connect to multiple databases in one project at once; this is very useful when working across different clients (and thus having access to their data). It seems relatively easy to use - but there are some quirks here or there which take time getting used to! We have been able to quickly build out our models without needing any code written by ourselves.
